Clumsy Ninja spot illo

I forgot this one, from the Halloween set I posted last month...

Dr. Seuss in Wollongong

I just found out that an exhibition of limited edition artworks from the Seuss Estate will be at the Novotel Hotel Wollongong, Northbeach, Grandball room!

Here's the guff:
The exhibition housed a groundbreaking collection of 70 years of Seuss’ art history that included Illustration Art, Unorthodox Taxidermy and the Secret Art Series. This exciting exhibition of limited editions mixed in with museum panels of original memorabilia was an eye-opening experience for the general public.

BUT it's 4 days only!!! 10th December to 13th December!!!

Marvel project update

Marvel project update
I heard the job went to print about 2 weeks ago, however still no ETA....
If it makes it to market before Christmas, well that's my chrissy present!!

Fairy and Fawn
This personal piece is a bit of an experiment for a possible new graphic novel. I've been collecting a lot of old children's books on fairy tales etc so I guess its rubbing off...plus my wife loves fawns and I knew she'd like it! I'll colour it when I get a chance....

Diabla update!

Check out diablacomic.blogspot.com with a few "new" comic pages.

Monster cover WIP
Here's detail of a cover I'm colouring, can't get enough Dinosaur action!!
More later...

Sci-fi illustration

A fun little sci-fi job, the space on the side was for the client's type.

Belated Halloween Action

Here's another spot illo for an online magazine... The eco-friendly vampire hippy...

Student of the future!
Here's an educational piece for Quarasan Chicago.

Halloween mix up

I know it's a little late for Halloween, but here are a few spot illos for an online magazine...I'll post a few more soon!

Metro-sexual Frankenstein

Pirate Accountant

Disco Witch

Tiger Airways magazine illustration
This one's about the writer's misadventures at the airport carousel...

Fun educational piece that I was pretty happy with! When the brief starts with "Can you draw an Alien..."YES YES YES!!!

The Public is more familiar with bad design than good design. It is, in effect, conditioned to prefer bad design, because that is what it lives with. The new becomes threatening, the old reassuring.

Ironman Final

Here's the final art, with well ... everybody... even Pepper!

Ironman in progress

Here's a small part of a larger Iron man piece. I got carried away and had so much fun with the Ironmen suits, I forgot that only 3 of them really appear in the final, which i'll post soon...

Work in progress

Here's the black and white WIP for a wrap around comic cover, I still have to add type and colour. I'll post the colour version soon.

Blink and you'll miss me!!

Here's something that doesn't happen often. I was interviewed by The Deal business magazine on how I use this blog as a business tool, it was right at the back of the feature so I doubt many were able to receive my two cents worth... who thought I'd be giving business advice!!

Marvel W.I.P

Marvel W.I.P
I broke my own blogging rule (I will blog at least once a week!) However I'm swamped with some very cool projects at the moment, which I'll post in the weeks to come...

TO BOLDLY GO...AND PHONE HOME

I'll be unable to blog for a while after this, so I thought I'd show the process for this piece, that was published this month in Tiger Airlines Magazine. I had to make the final work on a dark background as well as a light one as the A.D was still preparing his page design... this job was great fun!
